Coincidentally, that Jif commercial actually said "Choosy Moms Choose Jif" and they re-dubbed it sometime in early 2012 to add "and Dads" - I had complained about the original on 8BitDad. Good recap! I think one of the things to remember though is that sometimes, when a company shows a dad, they might still be talking to mom. That Tide commercial might have just been showing an ideal for moms to swoon over - not a reflection of dad consumers. And also remember - there are a lot of moms writing the commercials as "mommy porn" - that is, writing in what they want to see, not what they see.

I know, bummer.

Otherwise, good talk and no matter who they're aimed at - dads are in the commercials now more than ever (and not just as the bumbling idiot), which is good!

Is this alive? Sounds like a cool idea. Additional topics:

- Baby Proofing: is it even worth it?
- If your kids are older, and you could talk to yourself when your kids were younger, what would you say?
- How to tell a good school district from a school district with a good brochure and web site
