I am the fatherhood expert at About.com and have been writing about parenting and fatherhood there for almost 14 years now. I just published a book last year called Power Dads and I am looking to engage with your podcast - to do a review of the podcast for About.com and maybe even to be a guest on the show. If you are interested, would you let me know? I'd love to send you a book and start the discussion!

Re: SDS 63: It’s All Over Dude

yeah! new website :)

Re: MAN UP, It’s the year of the Dad!

Coincidentally, that Jif commercial actually said "Choosy Moms Choose Jif" and they re-dubbed it sometime in early 2012 to add "and Dads" - I had complained about the original on 8BitDad. Good recap! I think one of the things to remember though is that sometimes, when a company shows a dad, they might still be talking to mom. That Tide commercial might have just been showing an ideal for moms to swoon over - not a reflection of dad consumers. And also remember - there are a lot of moms writing the commercials as "mommy porn" - that is, writing in what they want to see, not what they see.

I know, bummer.

Otherwise, good talk and no matter who they're aimed at - dads are in the commercials now more than ever (and not just as the bumbling idiot), which is good!

Re: SDS Ep. 1: Don’t Go to Mosquito Coast

Thanks Mom! :)

Re: SDS Ep. 1: Don’t Go to Mosquito Coast

Josh, this is fantastic.
